OVERVIEW Based on Indonesia Law no. 1 of 1970 on Occupational Safety, that the management or the head of the workplace is obliged to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) for workers and workers are obliged to use PPE properly and correctly. The purpose of implementing this Act is to protect the health of the worker from the hazards at work. The type of PPE/PPE required in various work activities in the industry is highly dependent on the activities undertaken and the type of hazard exposed. The workers awareness at wear personal protective equipment in work are very low. Based on the findings from a survey,there are many errors and flaws in using PPE in various companies both local and international. There are two main factors behind this problem : the low level of management responsibility for workers safety and health or/and the low level of workers awareness in using PPE. This course will learn about safety equipment especially on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), how is the standard, regulation, selecting, maintenance until how to prepare the audit program.
