These risks may be associated with regulatory compliance, chemical releases, supply chain incidents, public reporting initiatives and the potential impacts associated with climate change. Even when an organization has robust governance processes in place, the internal audit function may be asked to assess whether the business risks associated with issues are being effectively managed.
Environmental auditing is an evaluation technique often used to increase compliance with environmental laws, identify operational liabilities, reduce costs, and review environmental management systems. This course will learn about internal audit fundamentals, especially about practical application.
