DESCRIPTION
Corrosion on metals is un-expected damage and in the other hand, it is un-avoided. Corrosion problems in industry always caused high cost every year, it is spent to control the corrosion and replace corroded or contaminated products. Understanding corrosion phenomena is the first step to control the corrosion it self. This course is designed to provide description and basic knowledge of corrosion, which related to various modes of corrosion, and how to control the corrosion.
Through this course, attendants will be able to define the types, major causes and the failures caused by corrosion. In further benefits, attendants will have the ability to decide the best method to control the corrosion and also be able to predict the remaining life time of a product or an equipment by using the combination of software application, economic evaluation, and case studies.
